Wrestling is the engine of grappling — whether you train for BJJ, MMA, or self-defence. It sharpens your base, balance, and control. A good wrestler dictates where the fight happens. Designed to complement our Gi and No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, Wrestling at TFAA employs a blended approach, integrating the best techniques from freestyle, Greco-Roman, Catch, Sambo and other wrestling styles.
Our comprehensive curriculum covers essential skills such as takedowns, pins, tie-ups, and clinch work, ensuring students develop a versatile and effective grappling game. Coach Gica
Our wrestling program is led by Coach Gica Apostu, a former professional MMA fighter and expert in striking and grappling.
Known around the gym as our “mat enforcer,” Gica is always on hand to help students of all levels improve.
